Vehicle communication
Connects mobile users with a dispatcher or other members of the radio network.

A professional mobile platform for vehicles, taxi associations, company fleets, industry and base operating points. The GM340 fits into a system either as a mobile radio with an external antenna or as a fixed radio in a suitable installation.
As with any mobile radio, the final result depends on the installation. The antenna, coaxial feeder, connectors, power and radio position must suit the vehicle and frequency variant. Programming is prepared for the channels and groups of the specific system, leaving the user only the controls required for everyday operation.
Specifications alone do not determine whether a model is right for a project. They must be considered together with the RF environment, user role, audio accessories, batteries and compatibility with the rest of the system.
Technical and programming details for older platforms are confirmed against the actual device and available service/rental documentation before handover.
Features are not enabled simply because they appear in a catalogue. They are used only when they suit the operating scenario and are supported by the exact device variant and the rest of the system.
Connects mobile users with a dispatcher or other members of the radio network.
Can be used as a fixed radio in a suitable configuration.
Channels and supported signalling functions are configured during service preparation.
A hand microphone and, where required, an external speaker adapt operation to the vehicle or workstation.
The external antenna, grounding, cable and connectors require correct installation and measurement.
The radio is programmed for direct or repeater operation according to the system topology.
Batteries, charging, audio accessories, antennas and carrying method are selected according to shift duration, noise level, discretion, protective equipment and user role. Compatibility is confirmed for the actual device.
Primary PTT control for a vehicle or base workstation.
Can improve intelligibility in a noisy vehicle or work area.
Antenna type and mounting depend on the vehicle, frequency band and RF requirements.
The feeder and connectors must be of suitable quality and correctly installed.
Vehicle or base-station power must be stable and correctly dimensioned.
Channels and functions are prepared for the user’s role and network.
For predictable operation, the programming profile, audio accessories, battery and RF infrastructure must all follow the same system plan.
The examples below are not limitations of the model; they are common scenarios where its characteristics and accessories are a practical fit within a rental system.
