Industry solution

Communications that follow operations, not the other way around.

On a construction site, in a production hall or across a large industrial complex, radio communication must work through noise, metal, concrete, multiple zones and several responsible teams. The system is therefore engineered around roles and critical working points before the number of radios is defined.

Industry and construction
Key pointSupervisors and HSE

Operational and safety groups separate routine coordination from messages that must immediately reach responsible personnel.

Key pointMachinery and logistics

Cranes, vehicles, storage and material deliveries require concise PTT communication and clearly defined groups without congestion.

Key pointNoise and PPE

Speaker microphones, headsets and carrying methods are selected according to noise level, helmets, gloves and the user’s protective equipment.

Key pointTemporary working zones

As construction progresses, RF conditions change; critical zones are rechecked and the system is adjusted where required.

On a construction site, signal strength is not the only issue.

Poor communication can result from incorrectly structured groups, unsuitable audio accessories, depleted batteries, too many users on one channel or unverified coverage. As the structure grows, reinforcement, concrete slabs, steelwork and changes in height alter RF conditions.

For smaller sites, a simplex system with well-organised channels may be sufficient. With multiple buildings, basements, floors or remote zones, a base point, external antenna or repeater infrastructure is considered.

Communication groups follow responsibilities, not a list of devices.

A radio plan is not based solely on the number of radios. Roles, responsibilities and critical messages determine how many groups are needed, who monitors multiple groups and where direct escalation is important.

Supervisor / site manager

Coordination of the main operational groups and escalation of issues.

HSE / safety

Critical information, incidents and access to responsible personnel.

Plant and machinery

Concise PTT communication for cranes, vehicles and work zones.

Maintenance

Faults, technical interventions and service teams.

Logistics / warehouse

Material delivery, entry/exit, gates and vehicle movement.

Security

Access control and incident support.

Terminals are the endpoints of the network.

The device, programming configuration, RF layer and functional test form one integrated professional radio system.

User

device, audio and carrying method

Radio plan

channels, groups, priorities and scan

RF layer

antenna, location and coverage

Test

critical zones and functional verification

What we verify before the team takes over the system.

Critical locations, antennas, cables, repeater requirements and the expected operating method.

Channels, groups, zones, scan lists, calls and functions according to the equipment and operating procedure.

Accessories for noisy or discreet operation, batteries, chargers and backup logistics.

Verification in the actual working zones and any required adjustments before the project or shift begins.

Planning a construction-site or industrial radio network?

Send the location, number of users, shifts, indoor/outdoor zones, noise level and critical functions.

From requirements to operation

Four checkpoints before system handover.

The approach is consistent across industries: requirement, RF conditions, configuration and verification under real operating conditions.

Roles and zones

Who must be able to hear whom, and where communication must be available.

RF conditions

Facility, terrain, obstacles, antennas and infrastructure requirements.

Configuration

Channels, groups, accessories, batteries, charging and backup logistics.

Test

Functional verification before operational use begins.
