Mixed Mode
On a correctly configured channel, the radio can automatically recognise an analogue or digital signal.

A compact professional DMR/analogue radio for security, facility management, logistics, events, industry and internal radio networks. The PD405 combines conventional PTT operation with digital functions that enable more structured communication in a properly configured DMR system.
The PD405 supports 48 channels across three zones, analogue and digital operation, and a Mixed Mode function that can automatically recognise analogue or digital signalling on a correctly configured channel. The manufacturer also specifies functions such as Emergency Mode, Radio Check, Stun/Unstun, RRS and roaming; within the rental system, only functions supported by the actual configuration and operationally relevant to the project are enabled.
Specifications alone do not determine whether a model is right for a project. They must be considered together with the RF environment, user role, audio accessories, batteries and compatibility with the rest of the system.
Technical source: Hytera — PD405. Rental configuration and the condition of the actual device are checked before handover.
Features are not enabled simply because they appear in a catalogue. They are used only when they suit the operating scenario and are supported by the exact device variant and the rest of the system.

The manufacturer provides a programmable mode for sending a priority alarm; implementation depends on the rest of the system.
Supports remote disabling and re-enabling of the radio in a compatible digital configuration.
Digital service functions can help a dispatch application or other radio users determine device status within a supported system.
The model supports roaming between sites in suitable multi-site conventional systems.
Three zones and 48 channels allow user functions to be organised logically without overloading the interface.
Batteries, charging, audio accessories, antennas and carrying method are selected according to shift duration, noise level, discretion, protective equipment and user role. Compatibility is confirmed for the actual device.
